Affiliate Earnings Disclosure
NoodleDex is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
This means that when you click on certain product links on NoodleDex and make a purchase on Amazon, we receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. This income helps us maintain the site and continue producing free content.
We only recommend products that we genuinely believe will benefit our readers. Our editorial opinions are never influenced by affiliate relationships.
Content Accuracy
While we make every effort to ensure the information on NoodleDex is accurate and up-to-date, we make no warranties or representations regarding the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any content.
Nutrition Data
Nutrition Facts panels on noodle type pages are sourced from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's FoodData Central where available, supplemented by standard food composition databases and manufacturer-published nutrition labels.
All values shown are approximate and represent 100 grams of the dry / uncooked noodle unless otherwise noted. Cooked, seasoned, and brand-specific values can vary significantly. Percent Daily Values (%DV) are based on a 2,000-calorie diet per the FDA 2016 Nutrition Facts label standard; individual needs vary.
For specific products you purchase, always consult the package labelas the authoritative source for that product's nutrition.
NoodleDex is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Always consult a registered dietitian or licensed healthcare provider for guidance on specific dietary needs, allergies, intolerances, or health conditions.
Medical & Health Information
Some NoodleDex articles cover health-adjacent topics — sodium content, gluten, carbohydrates, glycemic index, FODMAP categorization, and dietary suitability for conditions such as celiac disease, diabetes, GERD, and others. The following terms apply to all such content.
Informational, not medical advice
All health-related content on NoodleDex is provided for informational and educational purposes only. NoodleDex articles do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or treatment recommendation. NoodleDex writers are editorial researchers, not licensed physicians, registered dietitians, or other healthcare professionals.
Information presented here should not be used to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. If you have a medical condition, dietary restriction, allergy, or are pregnant or nursing, consult a qualified healthcare provider — such as a registered dietitian, physician, or specialist — before making changes to your diet based on anything you read on this site.
No claims of disease cure or prevention
NoodleDex makes no claim that any noodle, ingredient, or food product cures, treats, mitigates, or prevents any disease. Statements about nutritional content, glycemic response, gluten-free status, or dietary categorization are descriptions of the food's composition — they are not claims about what that food will do for your body.
Where NoodleDex describes a noodle as “low-sodium,” “gluten-free,” “low-carb,” “high-protein,” or similar, those terms refer to the product's nutritional profile as printed on its packaging or as available from public nutritional databases. They do not constitute a representation that the product will affect your specific health.
Source citations
Where NoodleDex references specific health, nutrition, or dietary claims, we cite primary sources where reasonably available, including:
- U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) FoodData Central
- U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) labeling guidance and nutrition standards
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) and PubMed-indexed peer-reviewed literature
- Mayo Clinic, American Diabetes Association, Celiac Disease Foundation, and other recognized medical and patient-advocacy organizations
- Manufacturer-published nutrition labels and ingredient lists
Citations linked within articles take precedence over generalized statements. If a claim is not cited, treat it as an editorial generalization that may not apply to every product, brand, or individual circumstance.
Celiac disease, severe allergies, and gluten-free certification
Where NoodleDex notes that a product is “gluten-free,” “suitable for celiac,” or carries third-party certification (such as the Gluten-Free Certification Organization seal), readers with celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, or severe allergies should independently verify the current certification status and ingredient list on the package they purchase. Product formulations change. Manufacturing facilities can introduce cross-contamination risks that were not present in prior batches.
NoodleDex is not liable for adverse reactions caused by changes to product formulation, undisclosed ingredients, manufacturer error, cross-contamination, or any other factor outside our editorial control. If you have a serious allergy or autoimmune condition, you are responsible for verifying every product yourself before consumption.
Individual variation
Nutritional needs vary widely by age, sex, weight, activity level, medication, pregnancy status, medical history, and many other factors. Generalized statements on NoodleDex about “daily values,” recommended intakes, or dietary suitability are based on standardized U.S. reference profiles (the FDA 2,000-calorie reference, etc.) and may not apply to you. A registered dietitian or physician can give you personalized guidance that this site cannot.
Google AdSense
NoodleDex uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. These advertisements help fund the free content we provide.
Visual Content
NoodleDex uses a mix of image sources:
- AI-generated images. Most hero shots, recipe-card images, ingredient flat-lays, and atmospheric food photography on this site are generated using Google Flow (Imagen 4) and reviewed by our editorial team before publication. These images are illustrative — they depict the general appearance and presentation of dishes but should not be interpreted as photographs of specific restaurants, chefs, or branded products.
- Where supported by the generator(Google Imagen embeds C2PA Content Credentials and an invisible SynthID watermark), the provenance metadata travels with the image when published on this site. Anyone can verify AI generation using Google's “About this image” feature or any C2PA-compatible tool.
- Product imagery. When affiliate product cards launch (currently disabled site-wide while our affiliate programs are being set up), we will use real product photographs supplied by manufacturers and verified retailers — never AI-generated images of branded products.
- Original photography. Where we have it, we use it. Most of the site does not yet feature original photography; the goal is to mix in iPhone-quality real photos as the site matures.
Why we disclose
Google does not penalize AI image usage. We disclose because we believe editorial transparency builds trust — and because it's the right answer when the FTC and Google both signal that AI provenance disclosure is becoming standard practice. The use of AI tools does not change our editorial standards: every article is researched against primary sources and reviewed before publication.
